Mary Rose Somarriba is an award-winning journalist, editor, and speaker with more than 15 years of experience in writing and editing. Mary Rose is editor-in-chief of Verily Magazine, where she served as culture editor for more than five years and has written more than 150 articles. Prior, Mary Rose was editor of Natural Womanhood, managing editor of First Things, and managing editor of The New Atlantis.

Mary Rose's writing has appeared in USA Today, National Review, NRO, First Things, Human Life Review, Public Discourse, Family Studies,​ Fairer Disputations, Natural Womanhood, The Federalist, Verily Magazine, and others. She has made appearances on C-SPAN, Al Jazeera, and Fox News.

In 2012, Mary Rose was awarded a Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship to research the connections between pornography and sex trafficking, and she delivered remarks on the topic at Princeton University, Yale University, the University of Notre Dame, and others. Mary Rose has organized and moderated numerous panel discussions for such organizations as the Ethics and Public Policy Center and the Catholic Information Center, including events televised on C-SPAN.

Mary Rose received her BA in Philosophy from Providence College in 2005, with minors in English Writing and French. She lives with her husband, four children, and dog in Cleveland, Ohio.
